THE DEBUT ALBUM
Late October 2020, The Gulls arrived at Le Maison Des Fleurs in Cambrai, France.
The 19th-Century French Chateau had not been lived in for almost 30 years, but was now under restoration by its new owner, Tony Geering and his family.
To restore such a place seemed an almost impossible task.
France was about to go into lockdown, and after 6 weeks on the road in Europe the band was itching to record.
So a solution emerged.
The band and crew would help Tony restore his chateau, and in return they could stay and use the place to record their debut album.
Working with local sound engineer, Bertrand Chalet (Skip The Use), for the next 6 weeks, The Gulls did just that.
